About this program

Join a program with the fulfilling mission of uplifting a community and working towards poverty prevention, education, employment and more.

You’ll work alongside amazing programs such as “Winter Hope” who helps to provide winter clothing to children, blankets to their families, as well as, assisting with resources to fix leaking roofs, and winterizing homes. Other programs include agriculture education where the communities are educated about vegetable gardens, growing their own food and working in existing gardens.

As a volunteer, you will be immersed in these communities helping to provide motivation, social upliftment, and organizing exciting activities, sporting events and other outings. The schedule is flexible and you should be prepared to take initiative and run parts of the program on your own.

A few exciting highlights you can look forward to are:

  • Work with educare centres
  • Work in settlements with the families
  • Create educational programs
  • Support & help provide skills training to adults
  • Learn what it takes to run a non-profit organization
  • Gain a world of experience working with adults, kids and groups
  • Learn about South African cultures, languages and way of life
  • Make new friends from all over the world!
