About this program

Enjoy an unforgettable experience at Moholoholo, a rehabilitation centre for hundreds of animals. Your love for animals is best placed here, where you’ll assist with the rehabilitation of honey badgers, eagles, vultures, hyenas, and other wild dogs.

While the ultimate goal is to release the animals back into the wild, this centre is also home to over a hundred resident animals who were subject to injuries making them unsuitable to be released.

As a volunteer at Moholoholo, you will be part of a team that undertakes various tasks that are based on the needs of each animal individually. You may also take part in call outs and releases, admissions, and other clinic work.

Some of the work you can look forward to includes:

  • Cleaning enclosures
  • Cleaning food & water bowls
  • Site maintenance & cleaning
  • Food collection & preparation
  • Caring for orphaned babies

No day is exactly the same on this exciting, fulfilling project. Enjoy the beautiful settings, meeting like-minded individuals, and making a difference!
