Join an Australia Wildlife Safari with a small conservation focus. Discover the incredibly diverse forests of East Gippsland, Australia’s southeast coastal wilderness.
Over the next four days, you’ll have numerous opportunities to observe Australia’s wildlife in their natural habitats as your wildlife guides shows you where to find kangaroos, wallabies, parrots, echidnas, cockatoos, black swans and more!
Enjoy a conservation action on your tour as you assist with removing fishing nets from a stunning beach, in order to prevent marine entanglements of sea mammals, fish, and birds. You can also help with various activities in the wonderful locations you visit on this safari.

For wildlife lovers and those interested in environmental conservation, this 4-day adventure checks all the boxes!
Today you'll travel past the RAMSAR wetlands of the Lakes District of East Gippsland. You'll then travel by ferry to a sanctuary with a colony of Koalas, located in the wetlands.
Enjoy a nature walk through the forest, keeping a watchful eye for echidnas, wallabies, kangaroos, parrots, seabirds, and more!
Enjoy dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
After breakfast, you'll head out into the mountain forests of East Gippsland. Expect a lush forest with an abundance of wildlife.
Today you'll have a wonderful opportunity to discover wet and dry forests, visit the Snowy River, and take a delightful walk along a wilderness creek.
You'll learn about the formation of these forests from your wildlife guide, as well as the animals that call it home.
Today, take a walk in a lowland rainforest and watch for birds and wallabies. Then, walk through a heathland and along a river to the estuary. Watch for eagles, cockatoos, kingfishers and more!
After lunch, you'll enjoy a walk on the rocky headland, checking out the tidal pools, and wind-sculpted shrubs along the 90-mile long beach.
You'll have some conservation time, removing fishing nets on the beach.
You'll depart East Gippsland today after a visit to the beach and the mouth of the Snowy River.
Along the way back to Melbourne you'll get to visit the Krowathunkoolong Keeping Place, a wonderfully informative Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Bairnsdale. Watch for Flying Foxes!
