Work in Australian Wetlands and a Nature Reserve: Volunteer + Adventure

Work on a project combining volunteering in wetlands and a nature reserve. Help to restore the biodiversity and teach the community to use nature in a sustainable way.

International Student Volunteers (a non-profit organization) invites you to help in a major environmental project, which includes tasks such as planting of native species, reducing the incidence of invasive plants and maintaining and extending the walking trails within the forest. After giving back, you will then reward yourself by participating in an incredible two week adventure tour, which includes sea kayaking, rock climbing, snorkeling and so much more!

Australia’s incredible landscapes and unique biodiversity are no secret; however, if you dig below the surface of its world-renowned reputation for incredible beauty and distinct wildlife, you will find a land that has had one of the highest deforestation and extinction rates and a long list of very pressing environmental issues. To help protect Australia’s natural environment, ISV is making significant contributions to an exciting conservation movement throughout Australia. ISV volunteers have made considerable progress by reducing the incidence of invasive plant species, heritage protection, planting of native species, and surveying and monitoring endangered flora and fauna.
