Spend your days surrounded by lush jungle, listening to the calls of the wildlife that make this area home. Join a life changing program as a wildlife volunteer in Ecuador. At this spectacular wildlife sanctuary volunteer program, you will contribute to the care and rehabilitation of numerous species. The animals taken in at the sanctuary have suffered injuries, been kept as pets, caged in poorly run zoos, and even smuggled by the illegal pet trade.
Volunteers at this program can make a difference to the lives of these previously mistreated animals, and assist with the rehabilitation and possible release back to the wild!
**Please note – the minimum age for this program is 18**
As part of this program, volunteers can expect to participate in the following tasks: * Food preparation * Feeding rounds * Enrichments – help to create enrichments which allow the animals to develop their instincts, and provide them with amusement * General maintenance – this could be basic building, painting, raking, and DIY – whatever you are doing, it is for the benefit of the animals * Cooking duty – food is provided by the sanctuary, however, volunteers muck in to help with cooking * Cleaning duty – help to keep your living areas clean ***Please note - the minimum age for this program is 18***
