For your second project you’ll spend 3 weeks at our coastal lodge completing vital conservation work. Your weekends will be spent exploring the vast natural beauty of this stunning country. What to Expect?

Accomodation - Accommodation will vary throughout the project depending on where you are located. In Quito you will be staying in our volunteer flat, during the coastal project and in the animal sanctuary you are based in the volunteer guesthouse and in the Galapagos you will be staying in hostels and homestays. All accommodation will offer electricity and running water.

Meals - In Quito, the coast and the Amazon we provide 3 meals per day. The food is typical Ecuadorian fare. Cooking facilities are also available. In the animal sanctuary volunteers go together to purchase groceries and take it in turns to prepare evening meals. GapForce will provide volunteers with a budget to purchase said groceries. Typical Ecuadorian fare includes lots of rice, meat, beans, vegetables and fruit, regional dishes vary and local specialties will always be made available!

Staff - Throughout the expedition you will have the GapForce Co-ordinater. On each project there will also be a dedicated project co-ordinator and team of staff who will work with the leader and volunteers to assign tasks. We also have a team of staff based in Quito to provide further back up.

Transportation - Transport to and from the airport, to each phase and for all tours on the itinerary will be included. Transport can vary from taxi, minibus and local buses depending on the journey. Any extra trips not included on the itinerary will be at each volunteers own cost.
