By committing time and energy to this particular project in Bolivia, you can provide a safe, secure environment and a more positive future to girls who have suffered abuse at home, or who were previously living or working on the streets. There are 2 main aspects to the project: a residential home for girls who have suffered from domestic abuse, and an educational centre for all the girls in which they can gain qualifications.

The centre provides the girls with a small income of 100 bolivianos ($12) per month for attending to encourage them to continue with their education rather than returning to the streets to work. The centre also runs livelihood programmes including a small craft shop and a café to give the girls an extra income and a sense a sense of self worth and to encourage them to want to achieve more. There have been many success stories from the centre with many of it’s graduates going on to study subjects as diverse as medicine, law, pedagogy and psychology at university.

With all the different programs running from the centre, help is needed in all areas, from teaching to skills training. Additionally, the centre not only needs help to provide educational support to the girls but also to provide them with positive role models who can show them the benefits of education and help provide them with the drive to work hard and succeed.
