Fiji: Marine Conservation

Join Greenforce Fiji, our volunteer marine survey group, and you’ll soon find yourself living on a stunning South Pacific island being taught how to dive in the crystal blue Pacific Ocean. Spend your days diving on exquisite coral reefs collecting vital survey data with our Marine Biologists and help create a Seascape multi-use reserve in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society.

What to Expect?

Arrive Savusavu: Airport pick up, welcome and Safety Briefing.

Week 1-2: Traditional Fijian Welcome. Create your beach based marine research camp. Living in Fijian grass “bures” in the palm trees, by the crystal blue sea that you are helping to protect. GreenFORCE Marine Research Scientists are based on camp and provide the strategic and daily planning. GreenFORCE's own Dive instructors will teach to you all the dive skills you need – whatever your level. Undertake PADI Open Water Training & PADI Advanced Dive Training. Already a Diver? No problem. Start your Marine Research Training straight away.

Weeks 3-10: A packed program of exploring this unique underwater world. Learn REEF Check and the UNESCO Marine Research techniques. Globally recognised training. Qualifications:  PADI Open Water PADI Advanced Dive REEF Check Dive AWARE Already a Diver? No problem. Start you Research Training straight away.
